The All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa, marked its 4th Foundation Day on 11th December 2025 at the AIIA Hospital Lounge.
We were honoured by the presence of Shri Sunil Kumar Singh, Director, National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, as the Chief Guest.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. Vd. Pradeep Kumar Prajapathi, while Prof. Dr. Sujata Kadam, Dean, AIIA Goa, warmly welcomed the gathering.

The event also featured the inauguration of the Workshop on Preparation of Integrative Protocol for Colorectal Carcinoma.
Prof. Dr. Mohan Joshi concluded the programme with the Vote of Thanks.

A memorable day celebrating growth, research, and integrative healthcare.




Celebration of 11th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2025

On the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa organized Yoga Sangam at the Peddem Indoor sports complex, Mapusa.

The program began at 6:30 AM with the telecast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, followed by the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Mohini Metti and Mr. Shubham Bhongle. The soulful Yoga Geet played during the session added to the serene atmosphere.

The event was chaired by Prof. Sujata Kadam, Dean, AIIA Goa. Distinguished chief guest Dr Geeta Nagvenkar, Executive Director, Sports Authority of Goa and Associate Dean Prof Dr Mohan Joshi.

A pamphlet showcasing the Common Yoga Protocol with simple instructions for daily practice was also released by the dignitaries.

Prof. Dr. Mohan Joshi, Associate Dean, Dr. Sanjay Khedekar, Nodal Officer -IDY 25,along with faculty members, staff, and students of AIIA Goa, participated with enthusiasm. The event also saw active participation from Khelo India students, Sports Authority Goa staff, RTO staff, Goa Badminton Association members, CISF families, and yoga enthusiasts from across Goa.

PRESIDENT OF INDIA GRACES 8TH FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION OF All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi

The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu graced 8th Foundation Day celebration of All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) under the Ministry of Ayush in New Delhi today and also took a visit to the AIIA campus. The event was graced by Shri Vinay Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi; Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ayush; Secretary Ayush Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha; AIIA Director Prof.(Dr) Tanuja Nesari; senior officials of Ayush Ministry and other senior faculty members of AIIA.

On this very auspicious occasion she congratulated All India Institute of Ayurveda New Delhi for completing successful 7 years. The launch of the Ayush Aushadhi Pharmacy Programme and the unveiling of the Shashwat Ayush Expo by the Hon’ble President marked the inauguration of the Foundation Day celebrations. The pharmacy aims to make quality Ayurvedic medicines accessible to all, enhancing healthcare delivery through Ayurveda. The event also witnessed the felicitation of the Hon’ble President of India by Shri Prataprao Jadhav, who lauded the institute’s commitment to integrating traditional Ayurveda practices with modern healthcare. In recent years seven new Health and Wellness Centers have been established across India.  AIIA has provided treatment to more than 27 lakh patients through its 44 specialty clinics, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality Ayurvedic healthcare across the nation.

In the past seven years, AIIA has marked significant milestones in advancing the integration and promotion of traditional medicine. A total of 73 national and international Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed, further solidifying AIIA’s global and domestic collaborations in the field of Ayurveda.

Speaking on the occasion the president said, “Ayurveda is one of the oldest holistic medical systems in the world. It focuses on establishing harmony between mind, body and spirit. Ayurveda medical system is our heritage and the Ministry of Ayush is doing the work of establishing this heritage as an authentic medical system. As I got to know that in the last 10 years since its establishment in 2014, the Ministry of Ayush has been making continuous efforts to bring traditional medical systems into the mainstream. Many important changes have been brought by the Ministry of Ayush in education, research, quality control of medicines, medicine and public health.

In a short period of just 5 years of its inauguration, AIIA GOA was established as a remarkable achievement of the institute, which is today becoming a major center of TRADITIONAL Medical Value Travel and Medical Health Tourism.

Seeing the work being done in this institute today, I am confident that through the joint efforts of all of us, we can take forward our heritage like Ayurveda with the prescriptions of our grandmothers and get it recognized globally through EVIDENCE BASED and SCIENTIFIC APPROACH. I have been told that the theme of this year’s Ayurveda Day is – AYURVEDA INNOVATION FOR GLOBAL HEALTH which is timely and I hope that through this Ayurveda will be able to reach the masses in an easy manner. I wish good luck to the Ministry of Ayush for this.

Shri Vinay Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi said, “If we look back, since its inception in 2014, AIIA has brought new hope to healthcare systems across the world. Reflecting on the journey so far, I am particularly impressed by the impact AIIA has made on the health of the community, where health services have been provided to over 28 lakh beneficiaries across various specialties.

­Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ayush, said, “Hon’ble Prime Minister has recently announced that 10 news Ayurveda Institutes will be opened in country in next five years.

He added ‘Today is a historic day for the Ministry of Ayush that the President of India visited our institute All India Institute of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is a very ancient medical system and it is becoming popular in the world at a very fast pace. Minister said that Ministry od Ayush has initiated “Ayush Aushadhi Kendr” to provide authentic and affordable Ayurvedic medicines to rural areas.

Secretary Ayush Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said in his welcome remarks ‘The success of All India Institute (AIIA) in the field of Ayurveda is an invaluable contribution in the health and welfare sector of country and sets a benchmark for all. AIIA is not limited up to the treatment of patients but also works for the awareness, research and success of traditional medicine in the healthcare sector of India.

Moreover, in our rapidly changing lives, the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle and practicing yoga is of utmost importance. Ayurveda, with its rich heritage and holistic approach to health, offers invaluable insights into achieving physical, mental and emotional well-being. Faced with the challenge of environmental degradation, Ayurveda offers holistic solutions that promote not only individual health but also the well-being of our environment.

Celebration of 10th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2024

On June 21, 2024, AIIA Goa hosted a vibrant celebration for International Yoga Day 2024, organized by the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga. The event commenced with Dhanvantri and Patanjali Stavana followed by a warm welcome to Chief Guest Mr. Sunil Anchipaka and Guest of Honour Smt. Jyoti Sirdesai. Participants engaged in dynamic Yoga sessions that encompassed various styles, promoting holistic health and well-being. Dr. Yogesh Shinde highlighted the month’s activities, emphasizing their role in raising awareness about Yoga’s benefits. The common Yoga Protocol and Yoga Fusion event was followed by insightful addresses from Mr. Sunil Anchipaka, IAS Officer and Director of the Department of Tourism, and Guest of Honour Smt. Jyoti Sardesai, from the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration and Prof. Dr. Sujata Kadam, Dean, AIIA Goa Campus underlining the importance of Ayurveda and Yoga in fostering physical and mental wellness and promotion of wellness tourism in Goa.

MoU Signed by Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism & Managing Director GTDC, and Professor Dr. Sujata D Kadam, Dean, All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa Campus.




11 ambassadors of Latin American countries visited at the institute on 5th October 2023

It was a great day for All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa when 11 ambassadors of Latin American countries visited at the institute on 5th October 2023 with the efforts of Hon’ble Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping & waterways Shri Shripad Yesso Naik ji. The guests were welcomed by Dean, Professor Sujata Kadam, Associate Dean professor Kalpana Sathe and other faculty members. The visit started with examination of 3D model of the institute and the team enthusiastically visited Hospital, OPD sections, laboratories, Panchakarma, Yoga facility of the hospital as well as pharmacy section of the hospital.

Afterwards the team visited academic section of the institute which included visit to the 1st BAMS classroom followed by short meeting in the Conference Hall. Dr Mohan Joshi presented of brief presentation about institutional activities and infrastructure before the delegates.

Hon’ble Shri Shripad Yesso Naik ji also also graced the occasion. The team expressed regards to Hon’ble Minister sir and also thanked for warm welcome. All the team members where felicitated by the institute with green wealth, shawl and memento. At last Prof Sujata Kadam expressed her gratitude towards guests for visiting the institute.

This would prove as great step towards establishing Ayurveda and the All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa on global platform.




Independence day celebration -All India Institute of Ayurveda celebrated 77th independence day

All India Institute of Ayurveda celebrated 77th independence day on 15th August 2023 with flag hoisting and cultural fiesta of patriotism dedicated to mark the great struggle of our freedom fighters. Prof Dr Sujata Kadam Madam Dean AIIA Goa hoisted the flag followed by national Anthem
