Inaugurated several special healthcare facilities aimed at strengthening patient care and expanding specialized Ayurvedic services

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, inaugurated several special healthcare facilities aimed at strengthening patient care and expanding specialized Ayurvedic services.

The facilities were inaugurated by Shri Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, in the esteemed presence of Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India; Vd. Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush; Prof. (Vd.) P. K. Prajapati, Director, AIIA; Prof. (Dr.) Sujata Kadam, Dean, AIIA Goa; and other senior faculty members of AIIA.

The newly inaugurated units include:

  • Sushruta OT Complex – A modern surgical facility designed to strengthen Ayurvedic surgical procedures and enhance patient care.
  • Physiotherapy Unit – Equipped to provide rehabilitation and therapeutic services for patients requiring physiotherapy and recovery support.
  • Kaumarbhritya Panchakarma Unit – A specialized unit focused on Panchakarma therapies for children, promoting holistic pediatric healthcare through Ayurveda.
  • BMD (Bone Mineral Density) Unit – Established to facilitate the assessment and management of bone health, aiding in the early detection and prevention of osteoporosis.
